Use Passcode to Protect Your Data

Learn how to set, use, and change a passcode on Journey.

Set a passcode on Journey to protect your data. (If your device supports Touch ID and Face ID, you can also use these options to unlock the app).

Your passcode resets once you reinstall the application. If you lose your device, please change your Google password immediately. Synchronisation/downloading of data with Google Drive halts when the password of your Google account is changed.

Set up a passcode

  1. Go to Settings > Set Passcode.
  2. Set the 4 digit passcode, then tap .
  3. Confirm the 4 digit passcode, then tap again.

Replace passcode

  1. Go to Settings > Replace Passcode.
  2. Enter the 4 digit old passcode.
  3. Set the new 4 digit passcode, then tap.
  4. Confirm the new 4 digit passcode, then tap again.

Remove passcode

  1. Go to Settings > Remove Passcode.
  2. Enter the 4 digit old passcode, then tap.
  3. Passcode is removed.

Activate Passcode

Once you set up the passcode successfully, the passcode is required when you:

  • Access to journal data
  • Publish entries
Take Note

Passcode is not required if you create a new entry in editor.

Forget your Passcode

If you forget your passcode, please reinstall (or clear app data and cache) the application to reset your passcode. Go to Journey.Cloud to check if all of your entries have successfully synced with Google Drive before reinstalling. If you lose your device, please change your Google password immediately.
